I recall being amazed at a 66 Fairlane or 67 comet build that had working lights...maybe had turn signals that actuated by the column mounted switch, but had an ignition key, and the fan and belts turned when the key was turned. Add to that the speed change to the fan when you pushed the accelerator pedal...anyone else recall such a beast or was I dreaming?

I'd really like to see believable fire / smoke. I've seen some good attempts but it always falls short.

Motion is another place that tends to not quite do it. The crashing sprint car dio is really neat, but in the end it still looks like a static model since it is missing little things like dirt / dust in the air.

and no I have no idea how to do any of these things, that's why I'd like to see them.

Something like this would be neat, maybe put it in a sealed clear box connected to a smoke machine?

I'd like to see if someone would want to make simulated exhaust, perhaps using a steam unit from an HO or N scale steam locomotive. The cylinder pulses occur fast enough on a real car that a fairly steady stream of smoke would be acceptable, although if someone wanted to rig up a sound recording to go along with it, that would be pretty cool, too.

Charlie Larkin

John Teresi used a train steam unit to simulate smoke in the Garlits diorama. It works great.

Scale pressurized tires...I know there are a bunch of real issues with this as the rubber would have to be about a fragile as a balloon...still, I think it would be cool!!
