57peppershaker Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Anybody else found surprise extra parts when opening a new sealed kit ? One of my Revell 57 Chevy Bel Air sedans, had 2 decal sheets in it. And years back, an AMT General Lee had 2 lots of the chrome sprue.
Chuck Most Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 A few years back I bought an AMT '67 Shelby that had two sets of the same Firestone Wide Oval tires in the same pouch. soon after, I picked up a sealed '53 F-100 kit that had the chrome sprue to a '64 Impala instead of the truck's sprue. I had enough spare F-100 chrome spures to fill in the blanks, and as a bonus I got the cool Cragar blower from the Impala kit.
Tony T Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 I was pleasantly surprised that the Polar Lights snap kit '66 Batmobile had 2 of each of the small dash decals on the decal sheet in case you messed one up, as well as three different licence plates...also that the decals were water slide and not peel and stick. Nice.
SuperStockAndy Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 My Revell 68 Mustang had 2 glass trees. But, of course that's on the model which it's impossible to get glue on the windshield.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 I have to confess I had never had those surprises . . . lucky you.
