Evil Appetite
I took mine apart to clean it out , but didnt pay attention to what might be a crucial positioning of the needle. Does it matter which direction the hole on the needle is pointing? Does it need to be at the 12 o'clock position or does it not matter Also, does the nut inside of the tip need to be very tight? Afew times when i've opened up the tip for more paint flow, it didnt close tightly afterwards because it came loose..leaving the packing gasket free to move around inside the tip. ===Mike
Longbox55
The clocking of the needle isn't really to critical, it'll flow paint in pretty much any position. You do want the packing retainer nut to be snug enough so it doesn't move, but it doesn't have to be real tight, as that can deform in.
