CAL Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Einstein's Theory of Relativity... the bedrock of physics... has recently been proven false! Neutrinos were sent from a site in Switzerland to a site in Italy, and they traveled faster than the speed of light, which sort of blows a hole in Einstein's theory. And maybe revokes his "genius" card... A guy walks into a bra... Yeah, they said that they didn't prove anything only suggested that it's possible and that it would take years to prove one way or another. IIRC there is an annotation on E=MC2 that could potentially make it invalid, but that would require some special set of circumstances not yet known to us.

Jon Cole Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Spelling nazi alright... In a time and day where people who have no known syndrome or disease are unable to properly copy the model designation of their car from the bloody bootlid (Camero, Escord, Le Saber, Fireflight, Volkswagon, Porche, Opal Record, I've seen those even in adverts), serious spelling bottom spanking is well in order, I give you that. If I'd have ever done that, my father would have given me a right old syndrome, that's for sure. But people who openly state that they are dyslexic, or suffer from OCD, or any other impediment? No, man. That's like accusing the one legged man to use his disability as an excuse not to hillwalk. Bloody nonsense. Mr. Cheap stated he is dyslexic, yet he makes an effort to communicate with us and entertain us and I find that very brave and commendable. In an online forum, where only the written word is seen, you come across like an idiot when you are dyslexic, despite you are the opposite and people would never guess you have an issue if they'd talk to you face to face or work with you. Fair play to you Mr. Cheap! You have my respect, Sir. And now please take each grammar mistake I have written apart. I use not being a native English speaker only as an excuse for my bad English. Clap! Clap! Clap! Bravo!
Rob Hall Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Did you know than Gen. George S. Patton is believed to have been an Apergian? So is/was Bill Gates, Sir Issac Newton, Alfred Hitchcock, Jane Austen, Charles Darwin, Thomas Jefferson, Henry Ford, Michael Palin..
highway Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 "asburgers," Ain't them those tasty burgers Cartman makes!?!?
Brett Barrow Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I have CDO, which is kinda like OCD except the letters are in alphabetical order - AS THEY SHOULD BE!!!
Agent G Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Born, raised, and worked all my life in the MidWest and still cannot speak proper english. I can curse in four languages though.............................. Seriously, one of the finest police officers I know is hopelessly dyslexic. I field trained the guy and the first time I asked to see his notes I darn near fainted. I made the kid handwrite everything, and he did his best. Little buggers a Lieutenant now. His father was the worst in the family and, go figure, was a chief of one of the design bureaus at the old McDonnell Douglas in St Louis. He joked the F4 Phantom looks like it did because he designed it. I salute you Mr Cheap. G
von Zipper Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 "Asburgers"?...........tastes like chicken.
Junkman Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 (edited) Um ... you DID, notice, didn't you, that my comments were directed toward Ed and and toward Old Gearhead _ who were the only two, to my knowledge, who spelled it "asburgers," and neither of who claimed to have dyslexia, OCD, ringworm, tennis elbow, dum dum fever or any other type of impairment? You also noticed, too, didn't you, that Old Gearhead took my comments in good humor, the spirit in which they were intended? Or were you too blinded by your own pomposity and sense of self-righteousness to pay attention to such minor details, hmmm? I'll be awaiting your apology, Christian, PM me if wish, No, no, no. That was not at all against you. I fully agree with you. The second part of my post (the one you quoted) has nothing to do with what you wrote. Its actually a reaction to a different thread that took a turn I disagree with. Edited October 14, 2011 by Junkman
Jon Cole Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 So we're snarkin' over mental health issues now? Jeez. Instead, I plan on reading other threads on model cars. I will occasionally check back here... for laughs.
Modelmartin Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Did you know that 100 out of 12 people are dyslexic?
