MachinistMark Posted October 15, 2011 Share Posted October 15, 2011 (edited) More or less a box stock build, tail dragger style. with a few machined parts to be added along the way. im not sure if im gonna use the kit supplied hub caps or machine a set of my own Since all of the tree builds of this kit ive seen so far have been some shade or another of red, ive decided to buck the trend and paint it... the paint is a dupont hue, Acadia green metallic and its sprayed over a duplicolour Candy base coat silver base, i will eventually clear everything with pro form 2 part urethane clear. and remember kids, RUST is the ENEMY. MachinistMark Posted October 16, 2011 Author Share Posted October 16, 2011 small update, ive stripped the chrome off the heads ( will be painted with alclads polished aluminum) and the engine is nearly complete. i have to say I LOVE this kit. it is by far the best kit ive seen in a while and truthfully i like it even more then the merc kit.
