von Zipper Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 When the "Rommels Rod" was re-issuded a couple of years ago, I had a project for the rear tracks. After that project was done I had the engine and front frame left over of what I would guess to be a '40ish Mercedes 540K. Added a transfer case from a '84 Fall Guy pick up. Found a cheap night light at a dollar store to use the shade for the hood, then found two Ertl 1/43 scale die cast farm tractors for the rear wheels and tires, a 1/64 scale New Holland die cast for the tires-the rear tires of the die cast but the front tires of the grader.I'm having a problem adding pictures with my text so pictures will follow-Chris
von Zipper Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 I used the gas tanks from a Lindberg L 700, the rest was made from Evergreen stock.
The Modeling Hermit Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Now, that's what I'm talkin' about!!!

von Zipper Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 Thanks for the great replys on the road grader. Used a rear seat from a Hogans Hero Jeep for the grader, and some other bits and pieces from my parts box. The scaper blade is a piece of 1/2 Evergreen tube cut at 60* at the end then cut down the middle.
