randx0 Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I like it a lot, that body looks really cool. I can't wait to see how you can screw it up! . are you going with those wheels or just mocking it up?
Junkman Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Crikey! Needs a gazillion bullet holes and two skeletons with tommy-guns inside...
Camshaft Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 (edited) I dig! Where did you get those smallblock Chevy Edelbrock valve covers? Also, did you chop the top or did it come like that? Edited October 25, 2011 by Camshaft
Terror Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 Rims,I'm not sure of yet, they came in the AMT kit same as the valve covers.Chop came that way.and yes Cristian I was thinking something like a modern Bonnie and Clyde dealie.Or the ghost of thing. If I do a B&C build I'll need some spoke rims skeletons and some guns. Thanks for the interest.
Chuck Most Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Progress looks good so far. Any idea who cast that body?
Terror Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 (edited) Ebay seller listed it as a Flintstone, Chuck. This many bullet holes,Christian? The other side doesn't have only a couple.I think they got her through the windsheild or cross fire.Kinda interesting, none of them went through the metal.? It's just so obvious, isn't it? There would be a nice set of spokies in the '65 Riv...Bt Btw, I don't often comment on works in progress, but I fell in love with your's. No matter how you decide to continue. Edited October 25, 2011 by Junkman
Dr. Cranky Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 I really like this one too. I hope you continue to make progress and share the eye candy.
Terror Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 I'll try to keep it going Virgil. The interior has me worried but I'll figure something out.Christian,I really appreciate the interest. It does keep me motivated when others are involved or egging me on if you will .Looks like it's going to be B&C ride again, maybe a Bonnie and Clyde customs shop or salvage rig, cause I already added the bullet dents, came out better than I thought. Got a couple of things to do before I post an update sometime today.
Junkman Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 I think they got her through the windsheild or cross fire.Kinda interesting, none of them went through the metal.? I didn't know they weren't going through the metal. Always thought that must have been some ugly bodies. Guess a lot of elderly people knock on the car and say 'that was still tin'.
Terror Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 A couple pics of the bullet dents.Tried to get them in the same general area.If I can make some decals, they might be,Bonnie&Clyde Gun Shop.I also have a pic of the plate from the original car.First mistake out of the gate,Weld line not so straight. Miles to go on this one.
Terror Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 In the original car there are no through holes Dave.Got them through the glass.Weak bullets I guess back then??
Terror Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 Look at the pic I posted above ,I don't see any holes?Maybe a fraud, could be the angle of the pics I have or its been restored.Either way I can fix that pretty easy.lol.Thanks for the pic Dave.Got one of the other side? For the record the original wasn't chopped either .
62rebel Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 "shoot out" infers that B & C were able to open or return fire.... Ranger Hamer never offered them the opportunity as they were infamous for shooting with little or no provocation. it was an ambush and no quarter was given.
Chuck Most Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 In other words- they put the boots to them. Medium style.
scale trucker Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 also the b,c car is a 34 hump back sedan..
Terror Posted October 27, 2011 Author Posted October 27, 2011 also the b,c car is a 34 hump back sedan.. That is correct sir.Good luck finding that kit.I may attempt to build the trunk tho.Ok,it's a fictitious build of a fictitious gun shop in a fictitious town in a fictitious time. And I'll bet real money I don't even finish it.lol.Chuck,,,keep that cabbage coming and Dr Rockso will get you what you need baby..
rustybill1960 Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Well, I like the direction that "YOU" are going with "YOUR" build Man! I do hope that you finish it too! The concept is very cool Dude!! I like that tire and rim selection you got rolling on there, I have the very same rims and rubber in my parts boxes, I believe I may use that idea on a future build, Thank You! I will be watching to see what happens with "YOUR" build! Thank You for sharing Later Russ
