stulee11 Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 hi everyone i am currently doing a 67 charger but i would like some help with the detailing of the dash . if someone has already done this type of dash and could post a few pics i would be more then thankful hope someone can help
Harry P. Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Not sure what kind of help you're looking for... I'd start with a google image search to see what the real thing looks like, and just recreate what you see. Start here: http://www.google.co...777l0.10.5l15l0
Jantrix Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I already had a pic from when i built one. I'll admit this is a tough one to do well. I don't have any pics of mine or recall doing the dash. I'd recommend some careful detailing with a brush or a fine point silver Sharpie.

Harry P. Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 thanks mate i just really wanted to see how other ppl have done theres so i can get a rough idea You can get the exact idea by looking at the real thing, not at what others have done (possibly incorrectly!)
stulee11 Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 thanks for ppls comments i have sorted the dash out what do you all think ???
Harry P. Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 That "chrome" trim strip across the top of the dash shouldn't be there. The lower chrome strip (that wraps around the steering column) is correct, but the upper one doesn't exist. Also, the gauge faces should be a matte silver or light gray.
stulee11 Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 thanks peps i just did it with a really small brush and lots of holding my breath. I will sort that part out today thanks for putting me straight will upload as soon as i done it thanks again
stulee11 Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 just done the last little touches on the dash le me know what ya think ?? thanks for looking in
sak Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 I probly would have alcladed the entire thing and then filled the low black areas with thinned down paint but that's because I dont have the patience to try to paint all those thin silver lines. But it does look really good.
stulee11 Posted October 29, 2011 Author Posted October 29, 2011 thanks mate its turned out really good for being only my 4th model kit lol
