CharlieBravo Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 I'm replacing the kit stacks in the Revell K100 kit for some aluminum ones, anyone know the correct size to be getting? 3/16(4.76mm)? I'm not sure what the 1:1 dimensions are on the real thing. They are to be original(factory) size replacement. Cheers Chris
scale trucker Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 factory size is 5 inch..i think you need 5/16 tube..i might be wrong..i use 3/8 so it looks like big pipes.
Jim B Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 1mm on the model is about 1" in the real truck. The 3/16"(4.7625mm) aluminum tube is about the same as a 5" stack on the real truck. 5/16" (7.9375mm) is about an 8" stack, while 3/8" (9.525mm) is 9-1/2"
CharlieBravo Posted October 29, 2011 Author Posted October 29, 2011 Yes cheers. 13/64 would be an option too if you can tubing that size? 13/64 is 5.15mm
