racerx24 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I got one about two months ago and i love it. I got mine from hobby lobby for 35.00 with there 40% off coupon. Ive used different airbrushes over the years for different applications and this is by farb the best one i found for models cause of the three cup sizes. It will spay lines as small as a 1/16th inch Ive used iwata's top line eclipse and this is just as good
Dr. Cranky Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 Thanks for the video . . . it looks like a great little airbrush for the price.
tabsscale1 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I have had one of these for overa year now and love it. Liked it so much that i have 2 of them. They were an exclusive to Hobby Lobby for a while
cruz Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Hey Virgil, which Iwata is it that you use for your car bodies? I thought you had shown it here once, I am interested in seeing it again. Was it the eclipse or something like that? It's about ime to get me an Iwata!!!
Dr. Cranky Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 Let me see if I can dig them up, Marcos. But I use both the Eclipse and the Micron but with the price of those two you can buy like eight of the Neos. Here's the Micron--the price on this puppy hasn't come down, it's still expensive, but man it's like drawing with a pencil!
Dr. Cranky Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 Cruz, here's a picture of both of my Eclipses, these are really the work horses . . . and these two in particular have been with me for the last couple of years . . . I do keep them spotless though, giving them each a turn in the sonic jewelry cleaner . . .
kenb Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I fell in love with the Iwata line as well. i do have a Badger 360 that was and still is one of my go to airbrushes. Here's a good tip. If you go, or someone you know goes to Japan. Give them the model number of the Iwata you want and purchase it there. Less than half of what you would pay here. Here are mine........ Iwata Eclipse HP-CS Eclipse HPBCS Eclipse HP-CH Badger 360 Ken
Tonioseven Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Looks like a decent airbrush; especially with the 40% off coupon.
sportandmiah Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I was planning on getting an Iwata Neo about 6 months ago, but the reviews I read weren't favorable on some of the airbrush forums. But I am thinking about getting one anyhow.
Dr. Cranky Posted November 2, 2011 Author Posted November 2, 2011 Go for it, Doug. My only concern was with the needle packing and lacquer paints, but I would imagine it will hold up well, perhaps like the regular Iwatas.
