JARRNO88 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I am getting ready to start building and AMT PETERBUILT 359 from the Wrecker kit and I am planning on swapping the NTC 350 that comes with the kit with a 3406 CAT that is in the REVELL PETE 359 snap kit. Has anyone done at before , and if so do you have any tips etc. on doing it ? thanks, Keith
Jim B Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I went just the opposite way. I put the Cummins NTC350 from the AMT Peterbilt into the Revell USA Snap Kenworth W900. I fit fine. One thing you'll have to watch out for is the NTC350 isn't as tall as the 3406, so you might have to adjust the front engine mount down. I had to build mine up a little in the Revell USA Kenworth so the NTC350 sat correctly. Not sure about the rear mounting tabs, but if I remember correctly & had to shave the ones on the Cummins down a little to fit.
