Mr. Can Am Garage Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 That's a nice surprise. Got a friend who'll go nuts over it.
crispy Posted May 9, 2007 Author Posted May 9, 2007 I hope your series! Serious, but not in series....LOL Yeah, just got this today. Chris
SpreadAxle Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Good. Now we can stop paying over $100 on ebay for it. It's about time this one came back.
Guest Anthony Oteri Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Serious, but not in series....LOL Yeah, just got this today. Chris As Homer would say "DOHHH" This board needs spell check.
mackinac359 Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 THIS will be nice !! The kit not only builds nicely but has some nifty kit bash items and is a great platform for resin converions ! Tim
Guest Anthony Oteri Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 That's a nice surprise. Got a friend who'll go nuts over it. I have only built this version just once, it was at a local K-mart for $4.99. I am not sure about the year, early 1970's maybe 1975. Your right about the surprise John, a very nice surprise!!!
Guest Anthony Oteri Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 If I remember correctly, it has the turbo parts as well as the naturally aspirated intake and exhaust. You could build it as an NTC or an NH Cummins. As Tim said the resin possibilites for this kit is great.
Old Albion Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Great news, I have an original A64B ready for building some day, but the odd one or two extra would be nice and for half the typical Ebay price. I will definitely be looking out for this one.
Aaronw Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Except for being a tractor is this basically the same kit as the Autocar dumptruck?
Southgate Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Hi Aaron This truck differs from the dump truck kit in that it has those cool round front fenders, and a curved chrome front bumper. The dump truck ones are angular. Dan
Aaronw Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Thanks, I'll be watching for one of these I have 2 of the dump trucks nice to have something similar but different. Would have replied sooner but was having some technical difficulties.
Ayatollah Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 That IS good news. I see it on modelroundup and almost fainted.
mackinac359 Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 The A64B kit differs from the DC dump truck kit with different: Front tires/wheels Frame rails Rear suspension Round fenders Tim
