Scalper Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 Hello ... completed the BMF on the cab... No working on the panel lines. needs some touch up.. trial and error. First tried my water colour. did not work. then with a brush made a mess. Was able to do this with a toothpick.. let me know what you guys think. Thanks for looking
Old Buckaroo Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Andre - panel line washes can be very challenging. I can pass on a few tips to make life easier. Starting with your paint an acrylic is a must. I add one drop of paint to a plastic spoon(cheap pallet) and two - three drops of 90% or better Isopropyl Alcohol for a thinned out solution. My preferred brush is a Tamiya 87049 . Just load the tip of the brush (no big drop) and let the solution flow into the seam. If you get a little on the outside no sweat especially if you have an enamel base. Ladies Makeup q-tips (pointed end) slightly damp are perfect for clean up . Using a thinned out solution may take more then one application but errors are easily cleaned up. This is coming from a guy who does not accent the panel lines on his trucks - but I use to on aircraft builds. The BMF work looks outstanding !
Scalper Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 Thanks Sean,.. Looks better from a distance. thanks for the tip . I will have to try that .
