SuperStockAndy Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 (edited) Sorry if this is a bit out of line... Can we please keep quoting pictures to a minimum? It really helps those with slower connections. All you have to do is this: 1969 Camaro 1969 Camaro 1969 Camaro You really don't need to quote pictures if it's the first reply to the topic Again, if this isn't allowed, please delete it. Nitrozilla Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I've never liked quoted pictures regardless of connection speed. I've already seen them in most cases. If I missed something, I'll go back to a point in the topic where I've got to catch up anyway.
SuperStockAndy Posted November 21, 2011 Author Posted November 21, 2011 (edited) Yeah. And if the pictures are a page or two back, I don't see why you couldn't quote them. It's when it's the next reply has them, that's what makes me mad. Edited November 21, 2011 by Andy C.
Jon Cole Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Not only that, but if you need to quote a post with four or five pics, you can always delete some of those photos from the quote, leaving only the one you actually need.
Bobdude Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 How about people who quote 5 pictures, only to add cool in their response. Please, obviously you must be new here,if not you should know better.

Wow, last time I brought that up I got blasted by the person doing it. Clearly I do share your perspective.
Eshaver Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 If you think it's bad here try the H. A. M. B . ! Ed Shaver
Chuck Most Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 How about people who quote 5 pictures, only to add cool in their response. Please, obviously you must be new here,if not you should know better. Can I get a standing ovation for this man, please! Couldn't have said it better. I don't mind a pic or two being quoted if the person responding is pointing something out, but if it's an exact copy of the post with nothing more than "Kool model, bro!" at the end, that person is usually on my ignore list after a few more instances of same. If you think it's bad here try the H. A. M. B . ! Ed Shaver Funny how they love 'quoting' pics over there, but post a thread that's almost kinda/sorta related to another one and watch the old timers throw a fit.
SuperStockAndy Posted November 21, 2011 Author Posted November 21, 2011 Glad to see other people feel the same. I'll be honest, when I was new at the internet, I was guilty of this a few times. But I realized how annoying it is.

As bad as it seems, in reality it's even worse! I edit tons of those "quoted picture" posts all the time. You guys don't know it, because it goes on behind the scenes... but it goes on constantly. Some people are just clueless, I guess.
Skydime Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 (edited) I only like quoting pictures if there is a certain one in the set on which I have a comment or question...and it is very easy to edit out the ones you don't need from the quote. Edited November 22, 2011 by Skydime
62rebel Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 yep; the guys on the HAMB are reaalllly bad about it... something about poor attention span or something, maybe lacquer thinner fumes or starting fluid.....
