stump Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Greg, first you need to make sure that your printer settings are on the highest print quality. That is something you will find in your printer program. Second, if you are printing out test sheets on regular print paper then the images will look a bit dull or flat. Once you print them out onto decal film they should take on a crisper and shinier appearance. Although, the overall quality of decal film matters as well. I have some white decal paper that I bought off Ebay that came from China that printed flat but took on a shine once I added the clear coat. (thumbs up emoticon inserted) Cheers Wayne. Messed with the printer and some clear Bare Metal decal sheet, they come out looking absolutely mint. I have some white sheets on order, as I hadn't realised so many of what I have as sticker "copies" have clear backgrounds....leaving body colour exposed. All good though, and very easy to size up etc....Highly recommended.
comp1839 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 i've been using the technique that wayne has explained for a while now. i've had great results for very little cost up front. here are some i just did. i will add this. i use some white decal paper that's not the greatest in covering over a dark color so i take a piece of unprinted paper and cut an exact duplicate in size and put it down first. let it dry and then i put the color decal on top. here are the results on an obviously dark blue car. oh, and just so nobody calls the lawyers, i got permission to duplicate this logo..............honest.
Magic Photos Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 For a decal please, if someone would sue over the private use of a logo???? What would it solve, free advertisement from the model car world that could direct a person to your product. With the cost of advertising I would think that a company would like the free exposure. Wayne great job on these decals.
