revshag Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 I'm working on a 56 Chevy for my 6-year old daughter and there is a lot of chrome pieces. I didn't want to use super glue for fear of messing up the paint job (especially when installing the hood bird). I didn't want to have to remove any paint for model glue. I decided to use clear enamel paint. Just like installing photo-etched parts, brush a little clear paint of the part, let it set up a bit, and put the part in place. With the slow drying time it allows you to position the piece. Thought I would share my success with you. Chris
Deathgoblin Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Clear parts adhesive works really well too. Very good tip!
