jlstew25 Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 I haven't been on this site very long and wanted to know what I did wrong posting about models for sale at a department store? If I did something wrong is wasn't on purpose, thought I was just giving fellow modelers a heads-up on cheap models? Sorry folks!
moparmagiclives Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 I think what they were after was that it was already a pretty heavy hit subject on a thread a few days ago. I didnt read it though, thanks for the heads up.
mikemodeler Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Shane pretty much summed it up. There have been countless posts over the years regarding Wal Mart and models and I think your topic got locked before it spiraled out of control like the most recent one did. Don't be afraid to post, all contributions are welcome!
diymirage Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 if you had posted it at any other time it would most likely hasve run its course, but like i mentioned in the origenal post, we had just (within 24 hours of your post) closed a 4 page post that started out on the same subject and escaleded into all sorts of stuff regarding big box stores, goverment consiracies and just plain old sillyness so the moderates probably thought everything that needed to be said had allready been said don't take it personal, it was just a mather of bad timing
Harry P. Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 I haven't been on this site very long and wanted to know what I did wrong posting about models for sale at a department store? If I did something wrong is wasn't on purpose, thought I was just giving fellow modelers a heads-up on cheap models? Sorry folks! Like Eelco said, it was just a matter of bad timing. We had another thread on the same exact subject that I locked because it had pretty much run its course. Your thread was locked (not by me, but by another moderator) because it was about the same thing that the other thread was about. Don't be offended, and keep on posting. Nothing personal regarding locking your topic... it was just a coincidence that you posted the same thing that we had just locked.
Skydime Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 That's why I created the following and locked it against snowballing out of control. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=50833
