a/gass Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 brake fluid - it wont take off chrome if your quick or the chrome is good 91% alcohol will allso work - sub merg it for about 15 - 20 min then clean with a tooth brush under water - if you leave it too long the chrome will turn black chrome

CadillacPat Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 If you have used water based paints they can be easily removed with Castrol Purple Power Degreaser. It's available at AutoZone and leaves the plastic clean as a whistle. CadillacPat

And I know for a fact that Purple Power will remove chrome.
