Haubenschild Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 I tried installing them but they wont even fit in the tire , i need help!!!
MikeMc Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Try warming them on a window sill on a sunny day, don't bake them, just get them warm and they should go together
Harry P. Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Another way to go: Put the tires in a microwave-safe bowl filled with water and zap them for about 30 seconds... that'll soften them up so that the WW inserts will fit easily. I use that trick to mount Pocher kit tires onto the wheels. The Pocher tires are incredibly stiff and impossible to stretch over the wheels without serious damage to either the wheels or my fingers... unless I soften them up by warming them. Just be careful not to overdo it and melt or distort the tires. Try 30 seconds, if they're still too stiff try another 15-20 seconds. And remember to have them in water, not just "bare" in the microwave!
Casey Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Are you sure you have the correct tires which match the whitewall inserts? If you do, slip the inner ring/edge of the insert into the tire, then rotate the insert until the slots in the outer diameter of the insert match up with the "pins" on the tire's inner diameter, at the bead.
Haubenschild Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 Thanks for all the tips guys !, i will try microwaving them tommorow
