First derby build

Did this for a online contest, it was a blast to build...started out as a vacuum formed 86 dodge diplomat, everything except the steering wheel and front tires were scratch built or aftermarket parts!

A seriously great looking derby build. I've done a couple of "Before" derby cars but I've never attempted an "After"

One word: OUCH!

Certainly not my style but a sorta cool build. Your sure messed up the body pretty well.

Some of you may know, I LOVE building 1/64 scale cars....so for the heck of it, I did this one too!

Both look great, but especially the 1/24 scale one.

How did you do the wrecked body, i think because its vacuumed formed that you just heated the body up and pushed in the dents, but I'm not sure.

Actually, I vacuum formed it in lexan, so after I trimmed it out, I balled it up, like a snow ball, then carefully straightened it out, and tweaked it here and there.
