ZombieHunter26
This post will be pictures of the J-Rod in primer. Just a quick synopsis on this build- It's built entirely from my parts box, stock styrene leftovers, some Green Stuff, and some MEK solvent (I ran out of plastruct plastic weld). The idea is basically a street runner, high speed, powered by hydrogen. It uses a chain-fed drivetrain for the 4WD system. No weapons as of yet, but that could all change later. hope ya like it. ZombieHunter26
I decided I'd explain the inside joke between my buddy and I about the name 'J-Rod'. In the process of building this one, my buddy and I are going back and forth on youtube with music, and he lands on 'Jesus built my Hotrod' by Ministry. He made the point that it -is- the apocalypse, so it would fit. Me being tired, I kind of agreed, then I never decided on anything else. Thus, the J-Rod was built. ZombieHunter26
Well, once this one's painted, I'm pretty much out of stuff to build with, unless I find some way to melt down all my sprues and make a mold of an interior piece, body, or chassis >.< I mean, this kind of situation makes me think harder and become alittle more creative... but even -my- 'gizmology' can only go so far. Thanks for all the looks and comments, and hopefully I can find some way to get back in on another build soon after I paint the J-Rod. PS- Doc, You should see my entire music collection, there's something for everything in there!

Rick Forrester
DOC , HOW TO WEATHER CHROME LIKE BUMPER? I'VE STARTED THE TZH THE FIRE TRUCK/ MONSTER TRUCK. BUT CAN SEEM TO THINK HOW TO WEATHER THE CHROME. THANK FOR YOUR HELP. PAPAFO
Dr. Cranky
Rick, the way I do it is very easy. You mount the chrome part on an alligator clip or piece of tape and you mist some rattle can black primer from about 18 inches away. Just to pit it. A couple of bursts will do it. Then you repeat the process with ruddy brown primer. Try it subtle first, then add more if you need it. Again, so it looks pitted, then you add a black wash over the entire thing. You also mist on a little silver or gray primer. You can do it a on scrap piece of chrome or spare bumper to try see if you like it. Try it and post your results. Good luck.
