Dirkpitt289
I'm curious what you need to do to make this a Mclaren Mustang other than stuffing a V8 into it. What body mods do you have to do?
Kris Morgan
Very interesting topic. Like what you have so far.
mrm
I apologize for my ignorence on the subject, but this is the first time ever I hear about a McLaren Mustang. Did such a thing ever exist or is it just a name you picked for it? And like Dirk asked, what makes it a McLaren? The model itself looks sweet. Dirkpitt289
Here is an 81 Mclaren @MRM: Simply put the McLaren Mustangs are much like the Saleen Mustang's, The Rousche Mustang and the Shelbly Mustang from the 60's. Through agreements Ford sent mustangs to these company's and they would tweak them performance wise.
mrm
Thank you Dirk. I never knew McLaren did Mustangs.
Dirkpitt289
Now that I see what an older Mclaren looks like I can't wait to see more. This should be an interesting and fun project.
antonesv
thanks everybody. the mclaren mustang kit does not have the big flares like the 1:1 car, but looks like a stock mercury capri except for the front and hood. i always like the flares on the capri and thats why i choose this kit for the build up.
