Big Daddy Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Okay i've been wanting the 52 and 53 hudsons for a while i emailed my local hobby stores to get pricing both stores gave me a price of 35.99 for the 53 and 45.99 for the 52 plus had to wait up to 3 weeks maybe more so i purchased online from model roundup at a cost of 56.00 with shipping a 26.00 difference with shipping and i'll probably get them sooner that if they had ordered them ,, anyone from north of the border run into this
Harry P. Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 You almost always can find lower prices online.
The Creative Explorer Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 True, but not necessary thát big. I've noticed too, while shopping for the Hudson and for a couple of dollars/euro's I buy it at my LHS. But these kind of price-differences, does make me buy online. That my LHS only carrys Revell of Germany doesn't help either haha.
Fabrux Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 My LHS has the 53 Hudson for $32; he hasn't gotten the 52 yet, I don't think. But this is CDN pricing...
martinfan5 Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Wow $32, I wonder how much that is over MSRP?
Harry P. Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Wow $32, I wonder how much that is over MSRP? According to Tower Hobbies, MSRP is $28.99.
martinfan5 Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Harry, I did not even think to look on towers site, thats not to bad of a mark up then at $32
Fabrux Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Scott's usually really good with his pricing. We all love him for it!
Erik Smith Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 He's sold out right now, but if you want good prices check Model Express (modelexpress.net). Hudson Tim Flock $26.50. Dennis is in Canada but can ship from either country.
Harry P. Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 http://www.amazon.co...t/dp/B00398ADXO Kit plus S/H included... 26 bucks.
JamesW Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 http://www.amazon.co...t/dp/B00398ADXO Kit plus S/H included... 26 bucks. Too bad it's not my type of subject, that's a REALLY good price.
Harry P. Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Too bad it's not my type of subject, that's a REALLY good price. Yep. It pays to shop online!
martinfan5 Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Yep. It pays to shop online! The only model stuff I dont buy online is paint and everything needed, I seem to be able to get alot more kits online then if I were to buy at the LHS, meaning more bang for the buck , I have been buying from tower hobbies alot more using their free shipping offer on $30 or more. I use them for getting new kits
Johnag4004 Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 I see models over in the US online store selling mosels for a lot less than they'd cost here in the UK, but the price of shipping is ridiculous, sometimes the shipping is double or more than the price of what you want to buy...
