hi there everyone i just wanted to know how to make a engine stand ??

if anyone could post some pics of there engine stands and how they made them i would much appreciate it .

Stuart, do you want a Hyrdaulic engine crane , an "A " Frame with a Chain fall of a simple work stand . I can help wih any one of the above ...... Ed Shaver

sorry i should of made it clearer lol ... i wanted to know how to make the sort of stand that you just rest the engine on... just a simple stand .

oh no i dont mean the sort ... i mean something like this ...

The photo of the stand that you posted looks like it was made from plastic spreu. You could easily make one out of sprue or use Evergreen and or Plastruct tubing to make your own. It's really not that difficult at all.

I know what your talking about, I wondered myself seeing some that where of a common design in pictures. Can't tell but I think they may be getting them from somewhere. Just look through "Show me your engine" threads an you'll see some that are on scratch built stands. One way I used was just to freeforn one as it it was made of pieces laying around the garage, I used various pieces of plastic shapes .. channel, angle, I-beam and sheet plastic.
