SuperStockAndy Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 The AMT 66 Nova Pro Street has one with an extra engine too
stulee11 Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 oh no i dont mean the sort ... i mean something like this ...
High octane Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 oh no i dont mean the sort ... i mean something like this ... The photo of the stand that you posted looks like it was made from plastic spreu. You could easily make one out of sprue or use Evergreen and or Plastruct tubing to make your own. It's really not that difficult at all.
stulee11 Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 thanks mate... has anyone got a better pic of one so i can get a idea of what i got to do plz ????
SuperStockAndy Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 oh no i dont mean the sort ... i mean something like this ... Ah. I tried that once, but failed due to things not lining up right...

ScottH454 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I know what your talking about, I wondered myself seeing some that where of a common design in pictures. Can't tell but I think they may be getting them from somewhere. Just look through "Show me your engine" threads an you'll see some that are on scratch built stands. Here is a link to a post in a thread that uses the stand I've seen from a few people. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=49297&view=findpost&p=551675
Foxer Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) One way I used was just to freeforn one as it it was made of pieces laying around the garage, I used various pieces of plastic shapes .. channel, angle, I-beam and sheet plastic. Edited January 11, 2012 by Foxer
