What a bomb! I've had this kit for over 20 years, and for some reason decided to screw with it now. Did it as a curbside because the engine compartment has no detail at all. Used a set of parts bin wide whites with old '50s custom wheel covers that look pretty correct for '48 Lincoln. Had to glue the 3 thousand piece body together first, mocked up on the chassis to make everything line up right. Still need a steering wheel for it as the one with the kit was way too small. Well, it's almost done, will never be perfect, but it is what it is. Only way you can get a '48 Lincoln.

Like you, I've had mine (the Lindberg re-issue) for a whole bunch of years and got so fed up with the thing that, after painting the body, I just put it back in the box, where it still resides! The same thing with the re-issued Auburn by Lindberg from the Pyro mold..... and that one's even worse!

......... maybe.... one day........
