1971Stage1 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Is that going to be a custom front end or are you making a standard Monte Carlo. You've peaked my interest.
Amp3r3z Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 Im trying to make it as close as possible to a monte carlo ls. I think that im going to leave it like this I could fix the bottom lights and under the headlights to make it a more or less standard front. I just didnt wana spend more money on the conversion kit than I did on the model kit. this is a good lil projkt to shake the rust off after a 7year break from building. Heres my referance pic:
1971Stage1 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I've never seen a conversion kit for the blue car you are showing. Your off to a fantastic start. My first car was a marron 1983 CL. It looked like the blue one you have pictured
Amp3r3z Posted January 20, 2012 Author Posted January 20, 2012 finally got back to working on the monte after a little break to build my spray booth. heres some work i did last night. primer: and heres the booth:

Amp3r3z Posted January 23, 2012 Author Posted January 23, 2012 Thanks guys I been wanting to build this booth for a min. its not done yet the blower is a really small dayton that only pulls like 75cfm but I couldnt pass it up for $3. More pics coming soon.

hvymtl Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Really love the LS front end i have been searching for the conversion but after seeing this i might have to just grab another just to do my own 88 I thught it was going to be cheaper to convert the 1:1 to SS status when it is repainted Michael
