Greg Myers Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Does anyone have this book? Is it worth the price($70 Amazon ) ? http://www.amazon.com/Chrysler-Engines-1922-1998-Willem-Weertman/dp/0768016428/ref=wl_it_dp_o_npd?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1Y5CHFMVCRPAS&colid=TMNZGN15B6B5
SuperStockAndy Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Please tell me that $70 is a typo? Seems kind of expensive for a book...
Junkman Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Please tell me that $70 is a typo? Seems kind of expensive for a book... Is it? A Hundertwasser Bibel will cost you about ten times that much. If you are lucky.
Haubenschild Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 It would be expensive for a book with only 2 pages , but I am sure that thing has over 500 at least
Greg Myers Posted January 15, 2012 Author Posted January 15, 2012 http://www.amazon.com/Daytona-Cobra-coupes-Carroll-champions/dp/B0006QKD46/ref=sr_1_6?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1326658138&sr=1-6 You get what you pay for.
sjordan2 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 (edited) That Cobra price is insane. But automobile books tend to be very specialized, cater to collector mania, and rarely go beyond one edition. I bought this book about 5 years ago as reference for the Revell 1/16 Phantom II Continental (hardcover, first edition, used) for around $80. Amazon now lists the same edition at $199, and an unused paperback version is $391. eBay prices will be in a similar range. Edited January 15, 2012 by sjordan2

You don't need to spend any money on a book for those: http://www.allpar.co...i/Hemicntr.html These are the drawings from the Weertman book. Edited January 15, 2012 by Junkman
LDO Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Please tell me that $70 is a typo? Seems kind of expensive for a book... It's worth whatever you're willing to pay. I once paid $225 for a book about Duesenbergs. It was expensive, but other sellers were getting a lot more for the same book.
kenb Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 I've said this here before, go to http://dealoz.com/ It's an internet search of books for sale. If I remember right this book was listed at a rediculously high price, but one seller had it listed at $40. You need to check it out. When you look check out all versions of the book. Most of the time a later issue is nothing more than a different cover. Ken
