Harry P. Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Under glass is to show case built models, does it really matter if its yours or you just want to see some other builds for insperation Exactly. No new section needed. "Under Glass" is for finished models... individually or as a group. Finished car models, that is... We have a Truck section and an "Other Models" section, so let's post our finished models in the appropriate places.
Harry P. Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 i for one am glad to see these in the "under glass" section now for a while they were popping up in the general area, that bugged me It bugged you? It bugged me even more... because I have to keep moving them to the correct place! I wish I could fine anyone who posts in the wrong place a dollar. I'd be rich by now...
Harry P. Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 That's a cool truck, BTW.. Notice the rounded front on the trailer? Seems like they understood aerodynamics better back then than they do now!
Guest Johnny Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 That's a cool truck, BTW.. Notice the rounded front on the trailer? Seems like they understood aerodynamics better back then than they do now! Even the tractors were more aerodynamic than many that followed in later years!
Harry P. Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Even the tractors were more aerodynamic than many that followed in later years! Yep, that Art Deco style from the '30s was pretty cool.
SuperStockAndy Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I personally don't think it was for aerodynamics, the curvy thing was the style back then.
Harry P. Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I personally don't think it was for aerodynamics, the curvy thing was the style back then. Yes, you're right. They weren't doing it for aerodynamics, they were doing it for style. But still... very cool!
SuperStockAndy Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Gotta love the old days.... It impresses me the amount of technological things vehicles like that had back then.
