cowboysevens Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 ya know they make a 1/25 frieghtliner dual drive right ? that sure sounds like alot of work making the cab the right size and shape from a conventional cab. but heck if your up for the challenge im definately up for watching lol
jekylljr Posted January 28, 2012 Author Posted January 28, 2012 10 4 i have the 1/25 scale version but that aint big enough for my lil fleet would be the only 1/24 kscale 85-88' freightliner c/o done possibly.i do enjoy a challenge this build maybe way over my head but most likely ill dig in n giver. i will be using the italeri grill cut down i will be using the square headlights. i do have a1:1 freightshaken c/0 basically in mybackyard for measurements the model will have a cummins big cam3 ..just have to finish up my lonestar so about a week ill b startin this project stay tuned n ill keep yall up to date.

catd11rpusher Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 LET ME GET IT RIGHT YOU TOOK A CONVETIONAL TRUCK AND TURN IT INTO A CABOVER? YOU MUST BE DOING A LOT OF SCRATCH BUILDING. GREAT WORK LOTS OF PICKS PLEASE I WANT TO LEARN HOW YOU DID IT
jekylljr Posted January 29, 2012 Author Posted January 29, 2012 Mike t i havent built it yet... I will be using freightliner conventional as a base for the cabover like windsheild and the angle of windsheild of course i will have to stretch windsheild a bit i will be using headlights and grill from conventional kit also frame and engine will be used also doors from cab n bunk will b used bunk roof will b used as a guide for c/0 roof mayb use the visir from kit but also stretch that item or make a custom visor should be fun i will post pics as i go along and explain.about one week till i finish up lonestar kit so check back often .....thanks farway model truck fleet
ARTEMIS1759 Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 You know, you get done with that and the knowledge you will gain from the conversion you should build a few new phantom COEs from the new truck kits. Would be interesting to see could have beens.
