Wheels Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 (edited) This is a model of my '70 Challenger that I owned a long time ago. This was the car that few knew that I owned. Only a couple friends and my girlfriend at the time. I never took any pictures of so this will be done from memory. My biggest regret was that I sold it. The kid that I sold it to wrecked it at his high school parking lot. He was showing off doing donuts, he slammed it into a telephone pole! It was a great car with a perfect interior. Here's my starting point. I purchased this kit a few years ago for this build. Hosted on Fotki I stripped the model to bare metal, shot it with self-etching primer, then a coat of white primer before spraying the body with House Of Kolor Tre Blue Pearl. I really like this paint it went on quick and easy and it is a beautiful shade of blue! Hosted on Fotki More to come... Edited February 4, 2012 by Wheels
1972coronet Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 THAT is going to look sweet ! I've been working on this kit as well , more off than on , for years now . It goes-together nicely ; its 440 Six Pack / TorqueFlite combo is probably the nicest assembly of the kit's contents . "True Blue" was the name of a factory colour , although I cannot remember what years or paint code it is (EB5 or EB7).

Gloss coat coming the decent day.The hood is going to be painted flat or semi-gloss black. I'll be using BMF on the trim. Looking for the right wheel and tire combo. The real car had 50's on the rear mounted on Crager style mags.
Stephen H Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Man that color looks awesome on the car. Great choice and cant wait to see more
