EriccT Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I would like to build 67 eleanor from the newer gone in 60 seconds.
a/gass Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 it dont call it out on instrutions but that kit should have the 73 grill insert its not plated.
Dirkpitt289 Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Just last week I was planning on doing the very same build so I bought the AMT 73 Mustang. Once I opened the box all hopes were dashed. It can't be done with that kit. Maybe in another time and place I'll do it but for now I'll settle on watching you build yours.
Dave Van Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 (edited) I would like to build 67 eleanor from the newer gone in 60 seconds. There is a 2nd 'Gone' movie?!?!?!? (I hate the Cage movie) AMT/R2 have two 71-73 Mustang kits out. The kit with the yellow car can not be built stock....and is the trashed remains of the original AMT kit. Matchbox folks cut it up bad. The AMT kit with the blue Mustang on the box is the old MPC KIT which is decent and includes a nice race interior and stock interior. The needed flat hood can be found on the JoHan 71 Mustang funny car kit. Cut the hood from the funny car body and it fits perfect!! I have not found the EXACT dog dish caps but some without the FMC letters. Tamiya Camel Yellow over gray is real close to the film cars color. There are a few cars from the real film I'd like to build.....think I can find a 4 door 1973 Matador?!?!?!?! Edited February 7, 2012 by Dave Van
62rebel Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 pet peeve number 10,001.... Hollyweird stealing the name of a classic movie and plastering it on a Direct-to-DVD bomb. pet peeve number 10, 002... Hollyweird remaking a movie that simply does not translate into the current era.
