A garage diorama I made from styrofoam that was packed in a computer monitor box then weathered. With added signs, doors and junkers and junk parts.

Definitely unusual, interesting, a little weird, innovative, impressive, strange, and well executed!

I'm liking it!

What sturck me so was the fact that this packaging is VERY VERY reminessesant of the "Origional " Sunoco cottages built on the eastern seaboard in the late 1920' s. All had a distinct "Humped " roof and were tiled in Slate , Blue . Go to the Hemmings Motor News site to see such a building . Ed Shaver

Rudi, some great details on this build, including the coiled up hose and the faucet . . . very nice, and if you kept track of the expenses, you probably built this one with a very low cost. And now you can generate lots of eye candy for the rest of us to consume.

it is realy cool and different and i would agree with cranky on the cost being low no more the $40.00 :) that was untill you dismantled the rolex to use the guts for the junk barrel. cost after that $14.500. :o great job

Nah, I saved the Rolex and used a TAG Heuer.

Ingenious! I've always said that the details are where you find them in the real world, but an entire building?!? That is soooo very cool! I'll never look at packing material the same way again... Thank you!

Very Good looking Dio.

You did a Fantistic Job with this Set up, that type of Station was close to what we had around back in the 1940's as well.

Grateful to you for sharing with us!!

it looks great as the weathering makes it so realistic. i've often thought those packing rails could be used for something. the only thing i don't like it the out of scale leaf litter on the sides, it looks like bits of plush carpet. it stops the 'old wrecks' from looking like they've been there for a long time.

i'd replace it with concrete or bare dirt with some odd bits of long grass.
