Fabrux Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 This car was posted in a Facebook group that I'm a member of and we're trying to ID it. I suggested a late 30s Ford while another suggestion was a Peugeot 202 (which I don't think so due to the headlight pods). The group is all about old pictures of Saint John, so the car would be something sold in this area in the 1930s-40s.
62rebel Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 i'd have sworn it was a '37 Ford except for the front opening doors. seems far too big to be French.... side opening hood; pressed steel wheels;.... Terraplane, maybe.
Chuck Most Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 i'd have sworn it was a '37 Ford except for the front opening doors. seems far too big to be French.... side opening hood; pressed steel wheels;.... Terraplane, maybe. Not a Ford- not even the French Matford Tudors had suicide doors on the front. Can't be a Hudson/Terraplane- rear fender openings are all wrong, and the car appears to be smaller than a '30's Hudson. I was thinking it might be a Studebaker, but the body lines don't look right.
Fabrux Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 Using the suggestions here I managed to identify this as a 1936-38 Hudson...!
