Putting It On & Taking It Off!!!

I used Half Round Plastic Strip to replace the rear trim. It's pretty easy...

First attach one end of the Strip with Zap-A-Gap.

DSCN4246D.jpg

Next apply Zap-A-Gap with a tooth pick to the back of the Strip, a little at a time.

Hold the strip in place until it dries, then do a little more.

When you get to the end, Cut it off.

Removed the Door Trim & Fuzz letters!

Need some paint... :)

Ira,

I've always been of the opinion that imagination is more important to an artist than raw talent. You, kind sir, are blessed with both! Carry on!

NOSE JOB & IMPLANTS!!!

I've been working on Don's Snake like features.

Removed several teeth and went for 4 Big Fangs with a few small Sharp Teeth. The teeth are easily cut out with an X-acto knife and glued in place with Zap-A-Gap Glue.

Added more putty for the Jaw & Snout.... B)

Think you could work in a cobra (the snake not the car, lol) type hood on that bad boy?

I think the helmet might be in the way of the Cobra Hood.

I am planning a Snake Tail coming out somewhere and doing something.... :)

Looking at him, and seeing what you did. Was it even worth cutting up that Ed Roth figure?

Thanks for your comment Adam.

Yeah!..."It's only Plastic."

I bought the Outlaw Fink, for the, Oval Shaped Front Wheels, that I used on my "Super Altered" Fred Flypogger Model.

I thought I could use the Fink, but this Fink is Really "Finky". Looks like someone squished his body, shot holes in him and then dressed him up in a silly Cowboy Costume. I saved his little Boots, Gun & Hat, in the Fink Parts box. The kit also included most of a Roth Outlaw, which has some Great parts... B)

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean that you kitbashed, but more like, there is such a tiny bit left of him that there is a slight possibility that "he" (or his leftovers) limits you in your creativity. In cases like this I'd go with a scratch structure, or a pingpong ball (so I have something to putty on), instead of a already set shape and size...

I'm loving what I see, I dig Ed Roth and everything around, so basically I can't wait for paint, and knowing how much fun it is to du such stuff, I am jealous that you'll be painting him :D... As soon as I moved to my new place I'll be building the "Mothers Worry", just to do something dumb, and oob for once, and just to enjoy playing with paint.

Restoring The Lines...

When I attached the Cockpit Cover and Replaced the trim on the body, the separating lines got sloppy.

So I got a X-Acto Knife & a Kona Saw and got to work...

I started by scribing the lines with a Number 11 Blade in an X-acto Knife.

Keep the blade as flat as possible for straight lines...

DSCN4406D.jpg

Next, I carefully went over the lines with the Zona Saw...

DSCN4410D.jpg

A little clean up and putty and I'm done with the New Lines!

Good Morning Tyler,

I used Squadren Putty this time, it's good for small areas.

Rear more of the Posts from "On The Workbench" to see when & where to use each type of glue or putty.
