Barbo Posted June 19, 2007 Author Posted June 19, 2007 Hi....outlaw035..I used the backdrop Instant Buildings by Walthers, item number 949-722 Back Street Structures. They also have the Old West Frontier, Industrial District , and Main Street Stores, all of cardboard. None of them are in a specific scale , backdrops are not intended to be in scale , they were first created by museum modelers to produce imaginary distance in small spaces with the method of PERSPECTIVE DIORAMA . Then, model railroad builders began the use of this method for there layouts. The best model railroad layouts that I have visited in U.S.A. are in attics , they have full wall backdrops. So , I hope you can use this method for your future models,,,,,Have Fun...Barbo.
Mike Whatshisname Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Barbo, Great way to display your builds. Very Nice and easy to transport. I'll bet these are easy to carry onto planes when you travel.
