Wheels Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 (edited) I have a couple promos (Chevy Duallys) that I want to take apart to use for other projects. The interiors are glued in and I was wondering what is the best way to take them apart without damaging them. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Edited February 26, 2012 by Wheels
ranma Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Heres what I did pop the front two pins useing a screwdriver. lightly push the int back the pins will disloge then pull the int down and the int will pop out. it worked for me.
Guest Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 If the interior is glued to posts, just take a Dremel and grind the posts off. If it's glued to the body, you may need to scribe in between the joints with either an Xacto blade or a photo etch saw blade. I use the photo etch saw blade myself.
ARTEMIS1759 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 If that don't work try sticking the body in the freezer overnight and sometimes the glue will let go when you pull it out.
