this is my latest truck ive been working on. its is a custom 99 revell chevy extra long truck. the rims im thinking of useing are team losi r/c rims and tires. there is alot of suspension work to still be done. i am just stuck on what to do and where to start on the front straight axle conversion. does anyone have any ideas on what i can use to start it? can i rework another 99 checy axle or anything like that?

Do the same thing the 1:1 guys do. Pick your axle and make it to fit. Calnaga Castings has a dana 44 casting with the outer axle ends. Cast center section uses brass tube with the cast ends. I got a set and they are really good. You can use any axle that is correct for the time period. I am working on a 55 stepside conversion and the dana 44 has been around since then.
