BigBad Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 It wouldnt be too difficult for an experienced person to modify the c series into the chevy/gmc tiltcab trucks. There was a yellow one on ebay awhile back that someone had modified. I guess it's feasible. In my case, I'm not quite there yet. But it would be interesting to see a GMC like this with a gas V12... Just a thought...
ARTEMIS1759 Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Those F800 pictured are 56 (first one) and 53-55 (second one).
lapazleo Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Back to the original questions, Some where on this forum are the answers to make model and era. I haven't had a chance to look but I know it's here. It was some time back.
TUFF TIN Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Those trailers were used to transport new '55 Chevy's if that'll help you. Mike
hotrod59f100 Posted March 2, 2012 Author Posted March 2, 2012 Thanks for the info guys . I think I'm stil going to make a converted 57 or 59 f700 -800 . Once my income tax comes in I'll put my order in for bolth . I'm leaning on the 57 because the 59 I want to use as a replica as mine.
hotrod59f100 Posted March 3, 2012 Author Posted March 3, 2012 This is a 58-59 but the 57 has the same body just different front end. But it will look like this.
Dingo5162 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 That La-France cab looks neat wot a great idea must get a fire engine and wreck it for a car carrier as part of my Model Transport Museum. Dingo
