Wow! You could i.d. that as cad/lasalle crashbox. I see a lump of non-descriptive plastic that the instruction sheet says is a "transmission". It sure is tiny in scale to say a torqueflite, powerglide, or any of the manual transmissions that come with most of the 60/70's muscle car models. Even the amt nascar model transmissions are deep in detail that one can i.d. with no problem. I thank you for the info...now to hunt one up to see what kind of detail a real one has...and 1:1 size.

Thanks all for pointing me in the right direction. I've been searching the web and have found a few sites listing these transmission. Yes they are very simplistic and following the history of their use in hot rodding/drag racing, all date their use up to the early 60's. It seems they are making a comeback in the rat rod field. As for using the Revell Miss Deal trans, I'll find something else for my project...awb '65 gto, 421 blown, set back ala Jack Chrismans 65 Super Comet. More research for the trans of the day...65, 66 early funny cars.
