Dr. Cranky Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 (edited) BIGGEST STYRENE ADDICT, driven by yours truly: Doctor Cranky and LITTLE CRANKYHEAD, driven by EYEGORE. Someone's gonna win! When the Gloss hits Jim's eye like a big piece of shine, that's Amore! I'm pretty sure the Dean Martin version goes like that! Ah, this one I though I would never finish, it sat here for way too long and finally thanks to Jim and Donn and all you other GLOSSHEADS, I got enough inspiration to finish it up. Here are some of the results. I still have two pieces to put on this thing, but it's pretty much done. Enjoy: Edited March 1, 2012 by Dr. Cranky
Dr. Cranky Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 And the last for the road: I will never get tired of building these Revell 41 Willyses kits. I just love them. I think this is my 12th built in the last several years, not to mention all the other builds this kit has given parts to . . .
ridedoc100 Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Man that is sharp!! I reallly like the body color and the engine detailing. Going to have to get that kit.
jjsipes Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Love the color Doc. Looks great. Awesome job. Glossy is the way to go.
milkman Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Always loved the gassers. Grew up building models and going to Green Valley Dragstrip near Dallas, Texas and a small strip in Tyler, Texas. Yours is an outstanding example of the period. Howard
Dr. Cranky Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 Thanks, my friends. I appreciate the kind words. I have another in the works and my plan is to keep building a few more.
Terry Sumner Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 There ya go Virgil! My kind of model! Love it! Whassamatta with that hood? Won't sit down all the way? IIRC I believe I had some trouble with that same thing on a Revell Willys I built. Can't remember exactly how I fixed it now but I know I had cut off those tabs.....

Terry, now I always remove the little catch lip on those. They are just standing up because I have to push them down in place. Stay tuned in for more pictures.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 All right, my friends, just when you thought you were seeing double, right? LOL. I finished them both and I am pretty happy with myself that I got to finished these two left over from a whole bunch of projects from last year. So here we go, another round of eye candy. Watch out the gloss don't seal your mouth shut!
