Tom Setzer Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Virgil they both Look Great. The look like they are straight out off the East Coast Gasser Wars of the Sixties, They remind me of several of the Great Gassers that ran at tracks Like Farmington, Bristle and all of the other great strips of the period. I love the Look of those two Gassers.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 7, 2012 Author Posted March 7, 2012 Thanks, Tom. I hope to build a few more of these in the coming year. Stay tuned in. Best, DC
Bad Apple Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Great job on the Willys Dr. Cranky, i have 4 of these kits myself in different configurations along with several of the older Revell HotRod kits! If you ever get to watch a movie called HotRod aka Rebel of the Road it features a primer grey Willys coupe, that's the movie that i fell in love with Willys coupes when i was a kid. Here are a couple grabs from the movie: hotrod79.bmp
Alyn Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I can just picture you as a toddler, Virgil. standing in your crib with a rattle shaped like an airbrush. ... and goggles Nice work on both. You set a high standard and meet it every time.
Roncla Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Nice builds Dr Cranky. They will serve as inspiration when i build the soon to be released Pittman version
