styromaniac Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Been wanting to do a scale model of Bob Bernardon's C-Gas winning '39 Chevy Coupe from the fifties-sixties using the Monogram 1/24th scale kit. Found out recently on another forum devoted to nostalgia rods that the coupe was painted Sherwood Green. Any of you guys know if that was a General Motors standard color at one time...or if it was a popular color made by a generally available automotive paint line used by rodders of the era? Just askin'.
ChrisPflug Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 The Sherwood name was popular in a couple shades of Chrysler factory colors during the 70s
wagonmaster Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 yes, SHerwood green is a 1970 Buick Color, my 70 Buick GS Stage 1 was origionaly Sherwood green, someone repainted it white.
