jaydar Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I was looking forward to making more progress with my ongoing projects, a 1/12 BMW K100 motorcycle and a Ferrari F-50. The F50 is basically stalled waiting for Carbon Fiber decals and the bike is stalled waiting for parts also but there are plenty of components that can be advanced so to the workshop i go. Everything i touched i screwed up and redid. Of the three items I actually did, three had to be redone 2 pf which left marks which i fear may be visible. I should have never gone in that workshop. There was definitely bad Mojo...
Jantrix Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 You are not alone. I think we've all had such days.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Joe, it sure does happen to all of us. I've had mornings like this and I just walk away until the groove and luck come back.
aarondupont Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I find that there are times i mess up everything I touch. Also if I pressure myself to get a project done, I rush, make mistakes, don't do a good job. That makes it more like a job instead of a relaxing, creative hobby! So I walk away until the good "ju ju" returns. If you're doing it because you feel pressured to get it done, whats the point? This is also why I have six or more projects going at a time. I can pick and chose what I work on and when I work on it. So when the "mistake goblins" show up, turn on the TV or computer. Aaron Dupont
A.R.C. Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Your not alone. I`m sure everyone here could attest to that. Just last week I was in the final stages on a Meyers Manx. The chassis is done and just waiting for the body. The body mods went well as did the final priming. The color on the bottom side of the body went on perfect. I laid down the black color coat for the top of the body a couple days later and it went on beautifully. An hour later when I checked on it it had wrinkled into oblivion and I have no idea why. I went through the same process with the same brand paints that I have painted dozens of models with and have never had this happen. Currently the Manx is bathing in a gallon of Super-Clean.
jaydar Posted March 6, 2012 Author Posted March 6, 2012 Thanks guys, I am now waiting on the good 'ju - ju' All the best, joe.
