Ok for the countless questions asked and I have even asked about airbrushes. I finally got one, I'm waiting for it to come in. It just says Paasche on the box, but I think it's the "H".

Now for the paint,. I will probably starting off with createx. Since its one of the cheapest and readily available. What are some other good and readily avaliable paints that I don't have to do a lot of mixing with.

Yes, you have thought of it, but it's my next statement. Once I am able to, I will be buying donn's video on airbrushing.

So far here is what I have learned as far as airbrushing paints

Decanting

Testers enamels / with a cheap thinner

Apple barrel and paints of the sort / with windex or water

Createx / with water

Hok ready to go and mixed with ?

Am I missing anything?

I like the testor's 2:1 ratio, but have been thinking of doing the HOK 1:3 as Dr. Cranky describes. Probably the best bit of advice is try different things and see what you like best. The nice thing about paint is you can (usually) try it, let it dry and if you don't like it dunk it in a bath like Purple Power or LA's Totally Awesome and try again with something else. That's the beauty about this hobby, it's fairly easy to start over on body before everything is attached! Have fun.
