Trumpeters '60 Pontiac Bonneville

I've had this model laying around for over 8 years & finally decided to build it. The kit comes with PE hood hinges & the Bonneville emblem on the grill. The hinges are very fragile & have to be put together. They bent & broke the first time I closed the hood.

Beautiful piece of work on a very difficult kit. But I think the lack of chrome on the rear script hurts it a lot.

I do have the rear script chromed, it just doesn't show it very good in these pictures.

Nice work. I have this kit in the works myself. I am using some engine parts from the Revell Pontiac engine parts pack. I believe the PE hinges were not meant to be functional, but I could be wrong.

They are "theoretically" functional... but way too fragile to actually work. I have this kit in my stash... when I get around to building it I'm going to ignore the PE hinges altogether. Even if you can actually get them assembled perfectly (not an easy job!), they're way too fragile to actually function more than once or twice.
