FTE Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 (edited) Hey guys. Frank here, 33 years old from Norway. First post here on this forum, thought i`d share my last build. This is my first ever junkyard/rust project. This is a kit from MPC, originally a "Dukes of Hazzard" kit. So, this is how the body looks like from the box: But i wanted a weathered and rusted junkyard model, so i started to modify it, drilling out keyholes and the left door-opener and proceeded to rustholes: Coated it in dull red for detail-inspection: Started with the engine, drilled holes for the headstuds and watercooling: Also drilled the headers to look more realistic: Edited March 10, 2012 by FTE
FTE Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 Had to place the flag that normally sits on the roof: So this is the result:
Mooneyzs Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 This is a totally cool build. great Job on the weathering on this one. I really like the diorama you did
baddgass Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 MAN this is so COOL!!!!!! I'm love it, very nice brother.
W-409 Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Very cool build! I like all of the details, you've done. Rusting and weathering looks very good too. Sunset pictures are great, and this build looks like 1:1 car on them. Also it's nice to see more people from northern Europe here.
