Smart-Resins Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 I have started a new project. I am using a 1/16 scale 1964 1/2 mustang body and extending the nose to make a 60's style flopper. I am using a parts box funny car frame and hemi motor to roll with. I have glued the doors hood and trunk down and filled in the seems. The rear wheel well has been moved forward and reemed out to make it a altered as well. Now I have also re-vamped the rear body mount to fit the stang. Also have dropped the rear axle mounts to lower the rear end as well as shorten the front seat bar for the seat to fit properly. Many more scratch building and changing parts to go as well as probably 5 years worth of sanding.LOL. By the way I will be the first to let you know that I hate sanding. Anyways here are some pics.
Smart-Resins Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 Quick update. I have created side flares, smoothed the body out some and done a front spoiler that is roughed in. Too much hassle in the side detail, so I eliminated it and will redue it with new plastic. Here some pics.
