sak Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 I have been collecting refernece photos for the nova I am building and have noticed that there seems to be no door locking knobs. Just out of curiosity, how do you lock the doors from the inside?
BKcustoms Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 We have one at work right now, I will look at it and let you know.
Craig Irwin Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 A friend had one in high school, and that was a long time ago, but I seem to remember a knob you turned down buy the inside door handle, like the '68 - '77 Vettes.
roadhawg Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Push the door handle down to lock the door, lift it to open the door.
BKcustoms Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Tommy is right, heres a pic I took of the door without the door panel on it.
henry57 Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Tommy is right, heres a pic I took of the door without the door panel on it. What year is your nova?
BKcustoms Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I wish it was mine, I took that pic at work of one we are getting ready to restore, It's a 1966 Super Sport.
Scale-Master Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 My '67 had the push down lock levers too. Makes for a clean look, but I like the pop up style better .
