Ottawa Area?

Kyle, there is at least one club in Ottawa that being an I.P.M.S. club. They put on a show every other year, this being their off year. So there are builders in your neck of the woods including car modelers.

Welcome Kyle, when you say up north do you mean north of 7, or great white north? I am about 21/2 hours south west of you, but there are more and more Canadians coming out of the woods...............So to speak. This a good place to hang out.

Yes, the great white north. I heard some one once mention a model club round here... never joined though. I should get on that. I got on buddy who builds that lives on the outskirts of town. Where bouts are you from there, Dan?

Hi Kyle,

I'm in the Ottawa area, but I don't belong to the IPMS club here because I believe they're too stuck in the 'plastic only' groove. I tend to build models in many materials now and, fortunately, many of the IPMS groups in other cities have now relaxed the 'plastic' laws to include modelling in any material.......modelling is modelling!

The show that they put on in Ottawa is called CAPCON and I believe that it happens this coming September.

If you call one of the local hobby shops, I'm sure that they can put you in touch with the Ottawa IPMS.

Hey Kyle, just saw you reply. LOL I am from Campbellford about an hour and a half from Kingston. there is a good show in Kingston on May 5th at the Legion on Montreal street. Well worth going to.
