Brizio Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 (edited) I saw a kitd say NO, when they ask to build a Make 'n' take kit!!! Edited April 16, 2012 by Brizio
Austin T Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 This is an interesting thread. With a bunch of younger builders chiming in,It would be interesting to question some of you on the hobby, your likes and dislikes. I like building and expressing my creativity with something I can hold in my hands.A few years ago when I was around 11/12 I got big into this online thing where you could make things out of pixelated legos, then my computer crashed and I lost all of my creations. Now if my computer crashes I don't lose my models.I also like all the pride I get when I finish a model, even if it takes a few all nighters to get it done. One thing I don't like though is the lack of "Interesting" subjects to build in scale or the prices of the old stuff. One model I really want made is a 1974 Monaco based on the bluesmobile.
jonno356SC Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 My 9 year old son is enjoying the hobby so far. Here he is building his first tank.
Wheels Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Thanks Jon! Nothing like seeing a child working with their hands on a model!
Scottnkat Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Here's a couple of pics of my kids working on their kits: Here's Genevieve (9) painting the exterior trim on her Corvette: In this pic, Damien is painting his Plymouth Prowler: Here's Stephen (13) wet sanding his A-10 Warthog: Here's Genevieve again learning how to use a single action airbrush: Even the 15 year old does models - here she is working on a Ghost Rider vinyl kit:
